Terms of Service
1. Agreement and accounts
These terms are an agreement between you and Neeraj Sapkota, a sole trader trading as WebRedirect.io (ABN [YOUR ABN]), Adelaide, South Australia (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using webredirect.io (the “Service”) you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and “you” includes that organisation.
Eligibility. You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
Your account. You must give accurate details, including a working email address, and keep them up to date. Keep your password and API keys secret and turn on multi-factor authentication. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by team members you invite. Tell us straight away at legal@webredirect.io if you suspect unauthorised access.
One free trial per person or organisation. Creating accounts to get repeated trials or to avoid a suspension is not allowed.
2. The service and your domains
The Service lets you point domains or links at our servers and redirect visitors to destinations you choose. It includes TLS certificates, redirect rules, analytics and an API.
Domains you add. You may only add domains you own or are authorised to control. We verify control through DNS records before a domain goes live. You are responsible for your DNS settings, for renewing your domain registrations, and for the destinations your redirects point to.
Certificates. We obtain certificates from Let’s Encrypt on your behalf. Their issue depends on your DNS being correct and on Let’s Encrypt’s own rules and availability, which we do not control.
Availability. We aim to keep the Service running at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may carry out maintenance, usually outside Australian business hours, and will give notice of planned work where we reasonably can.
Changes to the Service. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a feature you are paying for and it materially reduces the Service, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of any prepaid period.
Limits. Fair-use limits on domains, rules and requests apply and are shown in the portal. We may throttle traffic that threatens the stability of the Service.
3. Trial, pricing and billing
Free trial. New accounts get a 7-day free trial with full features. We will email you before the trial ends. If you have not added a payment method by then, your redirects stop working and your account is paused; we keep your configuration for 30 days so you can resume.
Price. After the trial, the Service costs A$1.00 per month for each redirect you set up. A redirect is one source address (a domain, subdomain or link) together with its rules. You are billed monthly in advance for the redirects active at the start of each billing month. A redirect added part-way through a month is charged pro rata on your next invoice. If you remove a redirect, you are not charged for it from the next billing month. [GST: “We are not registered for GST, so no GST is charged.” OR “Prices include GST.” — to be confirmed.]
Payment. Payments are processed by [PAYMENT PROCESSOR]. You authorise us to charge your nominated card each month until you cancel. If a payment fails we will retry and email you; if it is still unpaid 14 days later, we may suspend the Service until it is paid.
Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days’ email notice of any price increase. If you do not agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in the portal. Your redirects keep working until the end of the month you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
Refunds. Monthly fees are not refunded for part months, except where these terms say otherwise or the Australian Consumer Law gives you a right to a refund (section 5).
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service, or let anyone else use it, to redirect to or support:
- phishing, credential harvesting, or pages that impersonate another person or organisation
- malware, viruses, exploit kits or unwanted software downloads
- scams, fraud, fake shops or investment schemes
- spam, including links sent in unsolicited bulk messages
- child sexual abuse material, or content that exploits or endangers children
- content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights
- content that is illegal in Australia or where the visitor is
- hiding the true destination of a link to evade security filters or platform rules
You must also not attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the Service, get around its limits or security, or resell it without our written agreement.
How we enforce this. We check destinations against threat-intelligence lists and act on abuse reports sent to abuse@webredirect.io. If we reasonably believe a redirect breaches this section, we may disable it, suspend your account, or close it, immediately and without notice where there is a risk of harm. Where it is safe and practical we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. We may report illegal activity to police, regulators or affected organisations, and keep records needed to do so.
You indemnify us against third-party claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from content or destinations you redirect to, or your breach of this section.
5. Data, ownership and liability
Your data. You own your configuration and your analytics data. We use it only to provide the Service and as our Privacy Policy describes. You can export your rules and analytics from the portal at any time while your account is open. Visitor logs are deleted after 180 days.
Your visitors. You are responsible for telling your own visitors that their visits are recorded, and for meeting any privacy law that applies to you as the owner of the link.
Our property. The Service, its software, the WebRedirect.io name and logo belong to us. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these terms. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely.
Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded. Where the law lets us limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows:
- the Service is provided “as is”, and we give no warranties beyond those the law requires
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill
- we are not liable for loss caused by your DNS, your destinations, third-party services such as Let’s Encrypt, or events outside our reasonable control
- our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period
6. Ending the agreement, law and contact
Termination. You can close your account at any time. We can end this agreement with 30 days’ email notice for any reason, and refund any prepaid period after the end date. We can end it immediately if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, including section 4, or fail to pay. When the agreement ends your redirects stop, and we delete your data as the Privacy Policy describes.
Sections 4 (indemnity), 5 and 6 continue after the agreement ends.
Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. We will email you at least 14 days before material changes take effect. If you keep using the Service after that date, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia. If you are a consumer living outside Australia, you keep any protections your local law gives you that cannot be excluded.
General. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your account without our consent. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
